| I just got lectured by my father for nothing again. Here's what happened. I left some droplets of water on the table and he's not happy about it. He said he don't like it when his children do things halfway. I mean, come on, can he use a better analogy if he really wanna 'teach' me. He went on and said why can't I say something like, "ok, I'll clean it soon" or "I'll do it soon". So he just wanna hear me say something to make him feel happy. I retorted that back to him. He said he wants to hear me say something acceptable and not a reason that is not a reason. Whatever the hell does that means. And he went on to say that I'm not qualified to criticise others about cleaniness when I can't do acheive that myself. By others, he meant my grandmother, my mother's mother actually. Not even that. My mother's adoptive mother. I knew he don't like me commenting, be it good or bad, about her. So I shut my mouth up for more than 2 months anything regarding her. Still, I got reprimanded for this fact. I hate it that my sis always sleepover at her boyfriend's and leave me to handle the brute of everything at home. For god's sake, it's just a few drops of water which will evaporate in 1 min given Singapore's bloody hot weather. This is really blowing a molehill out of a mountain. What a joke it'll be if I tell my friends about my 'lecture'. I think my father can't think of anything else to teach me since I'm already 20. He said he don't understand why I can't even do a simple thing properly. Yeah, with that I said something like, "exactly! this is such a small thing and why are you getting so mad". And believe you me, when my father is in a bad mood, people can hear his shouting voice like some 10 blocks away. He ddin't have to shout at me if as I'm a dog. I'm a human being, not an animal. I have dignity and pride. I have to say again. It is JUST a few drops of CLEAN tap water on the glass table/mesilla. This is like peanut compared to the Tsunamis. I've decided to join in a bit of countdown 2005 cos I realised life can be so fragile. One mintue people are celebrating Christmas, and the next day, they get washed away by waves. I hate the thought of countdown in the past, but now, I can't wait to stay out of home as much as possible. Going to catch Meet the Fockers on the same day too.
